Fenerbahçe beats Sturm Graz in Europa League, advances to playoffs
Fenerbahçe eliminated Sturm Graz 3-2 on aggregate in the two sides' UEFA Europa League third qualifying round match in Istanbul on Aug. 3.
The Istanbul club managed to draw 1-1 at Şükrü Saraçoğlu Stadium, moving on to the playoff round in the second-tier European competition.

Leader Beşiktaş shoots self in foot in derby
Turkish Super League leader Beşiktaş was forced to share the points with visiting archrival Fenerbahçe in an Istanbul derby on May 7 after the home side's Marcelo headed into his own goal with the last play of the game.
The defending champion utilized its home advantage in the first half, harnessing the support of 40,000 spectators to increase the pressure on Fenerbahçe's goal.

Turkish teams set to launch Euroleague playoff campaigns
Turkish basketball will have ambitions of claiming at least one spot in the Euroleague Final Four to be played in Istanbul next month as the Euroleague playoffs begin with three Turkish teams in the final eight.
Turks eye knockout stages in Europa League
Draws will be enough for Turkish clubs Fenerbahçe and Osmanlıspor to advance from their respective groups when they play in the Europa League on Dec. 8.
Group A leader Fenerbahçe travels to Feyenoord, while Group L leader Osmanlıspor hosts FC Zurich at home.

Galatasaray out to break Kadıköy jinx
Galatasaray wants to end a 17-year jinx when it travels to the Asian side of Istanbul for a Spor Toto Super League game on Nov. 20.
The club's last victory at the Şükrü Saraçoğlu Stadium was in 1999, when it beat Fenerbahçe 2-1 in a league game on Dec. 22, and has not been able to win in the 20 official games at the venue since.

Udoh, Vesely lead Fenerbahçe to third Eurolegue victory
Istanbul club Fenerbahçe remained undefeated in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and joined CSKA Moscow atop the standings by downing Zalgiris Kaunas 82-68 at home on Oct. 26.
Ekpe Udoh and Jan Vesely led the winning side with 14 points apiece. Udoh added eight rebounds while Vesely made eight of eight free throws.
Europa-worn teams to clash in Turkish league
Osmanlıspor and Fenerbahçe will clash this weekend in the Spor Toto Super League, immediately on the heels of separate Europa League clashes on Sept. 29.
Fenerbahçe left the Şükrü Saraçoğlu pitch in Istanbul happy after beating Feyenoord 1-0 while Osmanlıspor left its unbeaten record in Zurich, losing 2-1 to the home side.
