Goulandris Museum holding charity auction of art inspired by Kathimerini

The Goulandris Museum of Modern Art will be holding a silent auction on Tuesday of work by acclaimed Greek artists who were inspired by Kathimerini.

The auction will take place from 5-8 p.m. at the new museum's Pangrati premises, with proceeds from the sale going in aid of the Food Bank, an initiative of the Foundation for the Eradication of Hunger and Waste.

Known for his vibrant ceramic work, George Hadoulis will be displaying some of his best pieces in an exhibition at the Anti Art Gallery in Antiparos from August 6 to 25. The display of brightly colored ceramic pots and vases focuses on nature and mythology, two of Hadoulis' foremost artistic inspirations. The artist trained at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris, and now lives in Athens.

The Athens-based Skoufa Gallery has put together an exhibition at the Grace Hotel on the holiday island of Myconos featuring works by George Hadoulis, an artist known for his bold use of color and uplifting scenes.

"Paintings & Ceramics" can be viewed daily from 7 a.m. to midnight and admission is free of charge.
