Djokovic, Troicki, Zimonjic and Krajinovic to verse Croatia
BELGRADE - World number one Novak Djokovic will head Serbia's Davis Cup team in their tie with Croatia in the first round of the 2015 Davis Cup World Group in Kraljevo, central Serbia, in March, the Tennis Federation of Serbia (TSS) said in a release on Tuesday.
Djokovic cements top spot, Troicki climbs to No. 46
LONDON - World number one Novak Djokovic has cemented the top spot in the ATP ladder, doubling the gap between him and second-placed Roger Federer following his fifth Australian Open title on Sunday.
Djokovic now has 13,045 points, 3,800 more than Federer, who lost points after not reaching the semifinals, dumped out by Italy's Andreas Seppi in the third round.
Djokovic remains at top of ATP rankings
LONDON - World number one tennis player Novak Djokovic remains far ahead of his rivals in the ATP rankings at the start of 2015 with 11,360 points.
He is 1,735 points ahead of Switzerland's Roger Federer in second place and 4,775 points ahead of Spain's Rafael Nadal in third.

LONDON - Serbia's tennis player Novak Djokovic is still world No. 1 on the latest ATP list released on Monday with a total of 12,150 points followed by Spain's Rafael Nadal with 8,665 and Switzerland's Roger Federer with 8,170 points.

Serbia retain Davis Cup World Group spot
BANGALORE - Serbia's Davis Cup team beat India 3-2 in Bangalore on Monday to retain their World Group spot for next season.
Filip Krajinovic won the decisive point for Serbia in the World Group playoffs by beating Yuki Bhambri 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 on Monday after their match was interrupted due to rain on Sunday.

Tennis-Serbian pair misses chance, India cuts lead to 2-1
BANGALORE - India's Rohan Bopanna and Leander Paes defeated Nenad Zimonjic and Ilija Bozoljac 1-6, 7-6 (4-7), 6-3, 6-3, 8-6 in doubles in Bangalore Saturday, cutting Serbia's lead in the Davis Cup World Group Play-Off rubber to 2-1.
Sunday will see two singles matches, where Serbia's Dusan Lajovic and Filip Krajinovic will face India's Somdev Devvarman and Yuki Bhambri, respectively.

BANGALORE - Serbia is within easy reach of survival in the Davis Cup World Group, since it has a 2-0 lead over India after the first day of the 2014 Play-Offs rubber on Friday.
Serbia was given a 1-0 lead by Dusan Lajovic, who defeated Yuki Bhambri 6-3, 6-2, 7-5, and it was increased by Filip Krajinovic beating Somdev Devvarman 6-1, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Đoković to miss Davis Cup tie against India
BELGRADE -- Despite earlier announcements, world No. 1 tennis player Novak Đoković will not play for Serbia in the Davis Cup tie against India next week.
Serbia must win the round in order to stay in the World Group.
Serbian team coach Bogdan Obradović said on Sunday that Đoković would not be going to India.

Djokovic increases lead in ATP rankings
LONDON - Novak Djokovic has increased his lead at the top of the ATP rankings compared to Spain's Rafael Nadal, who is in second place.
Djokovic took advantage of Nadal's absence at the Cincinnati Masters and kept the number one spot with 12,770 points despite an early loss in the tournament from Tommy Robredo.
