Prosecutor orders probe into flooding disaster

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitstotakis speaks with locals on the island of Evia on Monday while surveying the damage caused by flash floods due to heavy rainfall on Sunday. A prosecutor on the island has ordered an investigation to determine whether any person or body can be held responsible for the deaths of eight people, including an infant, due to the floods.

PM to address nation on Tuesday

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitstotakis will make a televized  address to  the nation at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, according to his Press Office.

He will, reportedly, not announce any new measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19 but is expected to make a sincere and realistic assessment of the situation to the public.

Seeking to highlight his government's intention to improve the daily lives of citizens as a matter of priority, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitstotakis reaffirmed his intentions yesterday to proceed with thousands of hirings in the health and law enforcement sectors over a six-month period starting this year.
