Deputy minister appointed gov't spokesperson until July elections
Deputy Digital Policy Minister Lefteris Kretsos is taking over as government spokesperson during the election campaign, the prime minister's office announced Friday.
Dimitris Tzanakopoulos gave up the post to run with ruling SYRIZA's ticket in the national elections on July 7.
On Thursday, Antonis Roupakiotis was sworn in caretaker Interior Minister, ahead of the elections.
Veteran lawyer named interim interior minister
Antonis Roupakiotis, a veteran lawyer and former cabinet member has been named interim interior minister as Greece heads to early general elections next month, sources have said.

Kretsos embarrasses government after new luxury yacht cruise is revealed
Straight on the heels of the political uproar over PM Alexis Tsipras' August, 2018, Ionian cruise on the yacht of the Panagopoulos shipping family, the daily Ta Nea revealed that his deputy digital policy minister Lefteris Kretsos took his own luxury cruise in the Saronic Gulf.
Tsipras in Jordan for 3-way summit with Cyprus
Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras arrived at the royal palace in Amman, where he was welcomed by King Abdullah, Jordan, shortly before noon.
Tsipras is attending the Second Cyprus-Greece-Jordan summit. Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades will also attend.
The three countries' foreign ministers met earlier Sunday.

Gov't seeks new ERT chiefs in the wake of resignations
The government is looking to replace state broadcaster ERT's managing director Vassilis Costopoulos and his deputy Giorgos Thalassinos after Lefteris Kretsos, the general secretary for information and communication, sought their resignations Friday.
