Ljubljana – The NGO 8 March Institute has tabled two bills to introduce free meals for all children in primary school. Free lunch should be part of a free school concept, the NGO said, hopeful that it could start collecting signatures in support of the proposal in September.

Ljubljana – Remote schooling has taken a toll on parents, particularly mothers, and primary school children who have been struggling due to stress, exhaustion and lack of motivation, shows a study by the March 8 Institute. The NGO has urged a strategy to address the repercussions of remote learning.

Ljubljana, 2 February – The NGO Inštitut 8. Marec filed an initiative in parliament on Tuesday to collect 5,000 signatures in support of its legislative proposal redefining the crimes of rape and sexual violence. The NGO proposes such crimes be treated in line with the concent principle “yes means yes”.
