Türkiye's Ambassador to Portugal Murat Karagöz has lost his life at the age of 56 after suffering from a sudden cardiac in the southwestern province of Muğla's Fethiye district.

On June 30, around 4 p.m., Karagöz had a fainting spell while swimming in Fethiye, where he was spending his vacation.

World leaders and dozens of foreign ministers as well as prominent diplomats, academics and journalists will come together to attend a two-day diplomacy forum in Antalya where all global issues will be discussed openly and innovatively, a senior Turkish diplomat has announced.

Sixteen Turkish ambassadors have been reshuffled, according to a decree published in the Official Gazette on Sept. 20, the state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
