Natural life park inhabitants befriend caregivers
At the İzmir Wildlife Park, the warm relationship between caretakers and the wild animals have surprised visitors. The natural park, which was established by the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality in Sasalı Region on an area of 4,125 square meters, is home to about 3,000 animals of 134 species.

Turkey 'guest country' at Balkan film festival
Turkey is set to be the "guest country" at this year's PriFest, one of the most important film festivals, which will be held at the Kosovar capital of Pristina.
The organization is extremely pleased with the cooperation with Turkish producers, said Vjosa Berisha, president of PriFest.

Turkish film gets three awards at APSA
Turkish director Mustafa Kara's "Kalandar Soğuğu" (Cold of Kalandar) won the Best Film, Best Cinematography and Young Cinema Success awards at the 10th Asia-Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) in Brisbane on Nov. 24.

Canadian PM welcomes Turkish film festival in Vancouver
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has hailed the upcoming Vancouver Turkish Film Festival, which will take place between Nov. 25 and 27.
"I am pleased to extend my warmest greetings to everyone attending the third annual Vancouver Turkish Film Festival (VTTF)," Trudeau wrote in his letter sent to Hakan Burcuoğlu, the founder and the director of the festival.
'Cold of Kalandar' is Turkey's Oscar entry
Director Mustafa Kara's "Kalandar Sogugu" (Cold of Kalandar) was selected Sept. 27 as Turkey's nominee for the Foreign Language Academy Award entry.

'Dust Cloth' chosen Best Film at Istanbul Film Festival
The 35th Istanbul Film Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV), presented this year's awards at a ceremony at the Haliç Congress Center on April 15.
The Golden Tulip for the Best Film in the National Competition of the festival went to "Toz Bezi" (Dust Cloth), directed by Ahu Öztürk, who received the award from the jury head, Müjde Ar.
Turkish Films Festival in Boston
The 15th Boston Turkish Film Festival will kick off on March 17 with Tolga Karaçelik's "Sarma??k" (Ivy). The event will screen 21 Turkish films until April 23.
Most of the films in the program are award-winners of international film festivals, and many of them will have their North America or U.S. premieres at the festival.

Antalya film fest ends with awards, controversy
Directors Tolga Karaçelik and Mustafa Kara films were the big winners at the Golden Oranges in Antalya amid a new controversy over censorship Director Tolga Karaçelik's "Sarma??k" (Ivy) and Mustafa Kara's "Kalandar So?u?u" (Kalandar Cold) were the big winners of the 52nd Antalya Film Festival, picking up four awards for each.
