With the start of the summer break for millions of students and teachers as of June 16, Istanbul Airport has witnessed an increasing rush as people move to travel to their hometowns or spend vacations at tourist hotspots.

Turkish lessons have started to be given in an Argentine university based on Turkish TV series as the productions have broken audience records, especially in Latin America.

As well as millions of dollars in exports, the interest in Turkish TV series all over the world paves the way for the introduction of Türkiye's history and culture to the world,

The most popular name given to a baby girl in Turkey was "Zeynep" in 2020, while the most popular baby boy name was "Yusuf," according to a written statement from the Interior Ministry.

A total of 1,091,043 babies were born in Turkey in 2020, with 51 percent males and the rest females.

Turkey's Religious Affairs (Diyanet) Foundation plans to repair dozens of mosques in Syria that have been heavily damaged by the country's ongoing war, according to the head of foundation.        

Mustafa Tutkun told Anadolu Agency on April 23 that the state-run foundation was planning to construct and repair 66 mosques in cooperation with the Prime Ministry.
