Russia's Yandex in Ukraine accused of treason, offices searched
Kyiv security services on May 29 said they were conducting searches in the Ukrainian offices of the popular Russian internet company Yandex as part of a treason probe.
"The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is conducting searches in the offices of the subsidiary of the Russian company Yandex in Kiev and Odessa", SBU spokeswoman Olena Gitlyanska wrote on her Facebook page.
Portuguese crooner wins Eurovision
Portugal won the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time ever with a melancholy ballad performed by a singer who suffers from a serious heart condition.
The fado-tinged song "Amar Pelos Dois" was performed by 27-year-old Salvador Sobral, who is awaiting a heart transplant.

EU Approves Visa-Free Travel for Ukrainians
The European Union approved visa-free travel for Ukrainians on Thursday, fulfilling a key promise to cement ties with Kiev as it remains embroiled in a deadly conflict with pro-Russian insurgents, AFP reported.
"YES, we did it!" Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko wrote on Facebook after the Brussels decision, which the former Soviet republic has been trying to clinch for years.

Former Russian Deputy Shot in Kiev
The former deputy in the Russian Duma Denis Voronenkov has been killed in front of a hotel in Kiev, confirmed Ukrainian authorities.
President Petro Poroshenko described the murder as "an act of terrorism on the part of Russia". "The clear signature of the Russian special services has appeared several times across different European capitals."
