ACAPULCO - Serbia's Viktor Troicki reached the quarterfinals of an ATP tournament in Acapulco by beating Columbia's Santiago Hiraldo 6-3 6-4 on Thursday.

His next opponent will be Kevin Anderson from South Africa, who beat Steve Johnson from the US 3-6 7-5 6-3.

The prize fund for the tournament is USD 1.4 million.

SHENZHEN - Serbia's Viktor Troicki defeated Spain's David Ferrer 6-3 6-4 in the second round of the ATP tournament in Shenzhen on Thursday and qualified for the quarterfinals of the event.

Troicki's fast and efficient play against the tournament's top seed showed that he is on his way back among the tennis elite.

NEW YORK - Serbia's Nenad Zimonjic and Canada's Daniel Nestor beat Collin Flemming and Ross Hutchins from the UK 6-4 6-3 at the US Open on Wednesday and went through to the 2nd round.
