Greece working with UN to send aid to Gaza
Greece is working with the United Nations and other countries to send humanitarian aid to Gaza as soon as possible and ensure it reaches those who need it most, Health Minister Michalis Chrysochoidis told Parliament on Thursday, in a session attended by Palestinian Authority Ambassador Yussef Dorkhom.

Konstantopoulou loses another MP
Course of Freedom, the smallest of the eight parties represented in parliament, has lost another MP in less than three weeks.
In a letter to the speaker, Areti Papaioannou, who represents the Thessaloniki II constituency, said she was leaving the parliamentary group headed by Zoe Konstantopoulou.

The paradoxes of the ballot box
The first question after this year's elections is where did Zoe Konstantopoulou, leader of Plefsi Eleftherias, or Course of Freedom, find the extra 90,000 votes in the May general elections? In the previous elections in 2019, 82,786 voters (1.47%) chose Course of Freedom; in May this year it jumped to 170,424 votes (2.89%); and in June it got 165,210 (3.17%).

Diaspora vote confirms New Democracy lead
With all 17,258 valid votes cast by Greek citizens abroad in Sunday's general election counted, conservative New Democracy emerged as the most popular party overseas with 43.23% of the vote, a slight increase on its 42.62% share in the May election.
Left-wing SYRIZA came in second place, its 16.61% share down almost 2.5 points on May.

Small parties waging battle on ND’s right
Given that the final victor of the June 25 elections appears to be a foregone conclusion, the key stake for conservative New Democracy next week hinges on the percentage of the vote it will get and the achievement of an outright majority, which would exceed the 156 minimum number of seats in Parliament.

Greek High Court blocks extradition of Vinnik
The Greek Council of State has temporarily blocked the extradition of Bitcoin wizard and Russian national Alexander Vinnik.
France, Russia, and the United States were vying to have Vinnik handed over to them.
Vinnik wants to be handed over to Russia and the Russian Embassy in Athens made extensive efforts to achieve its goal.
