Romania's COVID-19 death toll rises by 28 to 34,792 in past 24 hrs

The Strategic Communication Group (GCS) reports that in the last 24 hours, 28 deaths have been recorded in patients infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Also, two deaths prior to the reference interval were reported, both in August 2021, in Hunedoara and Timis counties. According to GCS, in total, it is about 15 men and 15 women admitted to hospitals across the country.

MApN: Romanian servicemen have carried out 9 firefighting missions in North Macedonia

Romanian servicemen have carried out, in the last three days, nine forest fire-fighting missions that affected North Macedonia, with a Romanian Air Force's C-27J Spartan military transport aircraft. "The C-27 J Spartan aircraft is accompanied in North Macedonia by a C-130 Hercules tactical airlift aircraft," reads a post on the Facebook page of the Ministry of National Defense (MApN).

GCS: Number of deceased in Romania up to 42; last two deceased from Hunedoara county

Bucharest, Mar 29 /Agerpres/ - The number of deaths caused by the coronavirus in Romania is up to 42, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) informs, the last two persons to die being a woman aged 75 and a man aged 82, both from Hunedoara county and having pre-existing medical conditions.

Code Yellow warning for heavy rains in 7 counties;accentuated atmospheric instability advisory for rest of country

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued on Tuesday a Code Yellow warning for significant quantities of precipitations in seven counties, valid from Tuesday, 18:00hrs, to Wednesday, 10:00hrs, as well as an accentuated atmospheric instability advisory for the rest of the country, valid on Tuesday, 15:00hrs, until Friday, 10:00hrs.

DNA searches connected to Bute Gala case; former adviser to Elena Udrea targeted (sources)

Prosecutors of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) are executing several search warrants in the case regarding the gala in which Lucian Bute boxed in Bucharest, in July 2011, said, for AGERPRES, judiciary sources.
