The Supreme Court in Bosnia's Federation entity has rejected Jovo Galic's appeal against the verdict convicting him of committing a war crime against the civilian population and sentencing him to two-and-a-half years in prison.

"I plead not guilty," Bosko Uncanin told the Bosnian state court in Sarajevo on Monday after confirming that he understands the charge accusing him of committing a crime against humanity.

Belgrade's Court of Appeals has confirmed the two-year sentence handed down to Bosnian Serb ex-fighter Zeljko Budimir for beating up a civilian and stealing his money in the village of Rejzovici in Bosnia's Kljuc municipality in November 1992.

Six Bosnian Serb ex-servicemen - Ilija Krcmar, Bosko Uncanin, Svetislav Racic, Zeljko Bajic and two others who both have the name Nikola Cuk - failed to appear at the Bosnian state court on Tuesday for the opening of their trial for crimes against humanity.

Two more defendants, Marinko Miljevic and Dragan Despot, did appear in court, and both pleaded not guilty.

Belgrade Appeals Court has confirmed the verdict finding former Bosnian Serb ex-soldier Zeljko Maricic guilty of war crimes against civilians in the Kljuc municipality at the end of May 1992 and jailing him for two years.

Belgrade Higher Court on Tuesday found Bosnian Serb ex-fighter Zeljko Budimir guilty after a retrial of beating up a Bosnian civilian and stealing his money in the village of Rejzovici in the Kljuc municipality in November 1992.

But the court acquitted Budimir of participating in the murders of the wife and mother-in-law of the Bosniak man, whose name was Ale Strkonjic.

A court in Belgrade jailed former Bosnian Serb fighter Zeljko Budimir for two years for assaulting and robbing a Bosniak civilian in Bosnia's Kljuc municipality during wartime in November 1992.

A court in Bihac has jailed two Bosnian Serbs, Goran Sovilj and Petar Galic for ten and seven years respectively for killing a Bosniak civilian, Mehmed Harambasic, and pillaging his property in Kljuc in 1992.

Ex-soldier Ratko Lavrnic was acquitted for a second time of killing three civilians in the Kljuc municipality in 1993 because of a lack of evidence against him.
