Six Killed in Private Plane Crash in Macedonia

A small private plane flying from the Italian city of Treviso to Kosovo's capital Pristina crashed amid heavy rain on Tuesday evening in Macedonia, killing all six people on board.

Mitko Cavkov, head of Macedonia's Bureau for Public Security, said four Italians and two Kosovo citizens were killed in the crash.

David Schwendiman has been appointed chief prosecutor of a Hague-based special court to investigate war crimes committed during the 1998-1999 war in Kosovo.

The court is looking at atrocities committed against Serbs by the so-called Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) during and after the conflict, Reuters reported.
