Turkey brings back nationals abroad amid COVID-19
Turkey brought back 777 of its nationals from Morocco, Algeria, Italy, and the U.S. early on April 25 as part of its ongoing repatriation efforts.
It is working to bring back nearly 25,000 citizens for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan who have been stranded abroad because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Turkish university begins passive immunization
A university in eastern Turkey has begun using blood plasma for the passive immunization of novel coronavirus patients.
"Treatment started yesterday [April 5] by collecting plasma from a patient who has recovered from the novel coronavirus and subsequently tested negative," said Ahmet Kızılay the rector of İnönü University in Malatya province.

Turkey quake kills at least 22, rescuers dig for survivors
The death toll from a powerful earthquake in eastern Turkey reached 22 on Jan. 25, as rescuers searched for survivors trapped under the rubble of collapsed buildings.
The magnitude 6.8 quake late on Jan. 24 shook Elazığ province, about 550 km (340 miles) east of the capital Ankara, and was followed by more than 390 aftershocks, 14 of which had magnitudes over 4.
Over 2,400 irregular migrants held in past week
A total of 2,402 irregular migrants were held across Turkey over the past week, according to data compiled by Anadolu Agency from security sources.
As many as 1,038 migrants were held in multiple operations carried out by gendarmerie forces in the northwestern Edirne, Kırklareli and Tekirdağ provinces, bordering Greece and Bulgaria.
