The co-leader of the Kurdish-problem-focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) accused the European Union of turning a blind eye to human rights violations in Turkey in a doomed bid for a solution to its migrant crisis, in an interview with the Greek newspaper on Feb. 17.

A Feb. 28, 2015 agreement between ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) officials, dubbed the "Dolmabahçe Agreement," was not the product of a "negotiation," Deputy Prime Minister Yalç?n Akdo?an has claimed, adding that the intelligence services "would meet even the devil" if needed.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an said on Jan. 29 that he would not meet with Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) lawmaker Leyla Zana unless she takes her oath in parliament, saying that such a meeting would not be held over the living conditions of the jailed leader of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). 

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has said he will meet Leyla Zana, a deputy from the Kurdish-problem-focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP).  

Speaking to reporters in Istanbul on Jan. 22 over Zana's request to meet with the president, Erdo?an said the HDP A?r? deputy made the request.

A deputy from Turkey's Kurdish-focused party has called for an end to the isolation of Abdullah Öcalan, the jailed leader of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), and continuation of the long-stalled Kurdish peace talks.

Considering the ongoing clashes between the security forces and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in southeastern Turkey, the Kurdish problem-focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) has said ending the isolation of jailed PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan is an "urgent item on the agenda."
