Turkey, Afghanistan may hit drug traffickers by fighting human traffickers: Diplomat

Turkey and Afghanistan might strike a blow against drug traffickers by struggling together against a "human trafficking mafia," which are both actually part of the same group, according to a Kabul diplomat, who has also called on Iran to join the efforts. 

Eight arrested in Attica drug bust

Attica police said on Wednesday that they have broken up a wide-reaching drug distribution network and made eight arrests.

The eight suspects - five Albanian nationals and three Greeks - were arrested in a police operation that spread across the city. Reports said the leader of the gang was a 35-year-old Albanian man.

Criminal Albanian gangs ready to resort to “serious violence” have “considerable control” over the drug trafficking market in the UK, a National Crime Agency (NCA) report has revealed.

The gangs, which use London as their primary hub but are established across the whole of the UK, have been found to have a particular influence on the cocaine market.
