Rouvikonas party goes ahead despite closure of uni faculty

The anarchist group Rouvikonas on Wednesday went ahead with a party 'inaugurating' a room at Athens University's School of Philosophy that it has been occupying for several weeks despite a decision by academic authorities to close the institution to avert the event, after breaking into the faculty through a side door.

Rouvikonas targets Argentinean Embassy

The anarchist group Rouvikonas targeted the Embassy of Argentina in central Athens on Friday.

Reports were not clear concerning the number of people who breached security and entered the building on Vassilissis Sofias Avenue in order to scatter fliers at around 10.15 a.m.

The group also erected a banner on the front of a nearby building.

Anarchist group advertises meeting room in university

The anarchist group Rouvikonas, whose members smashed the windows of the guard's booth outside the Iranian Embassy last month and threw paint at the building's facade, has reached out to students, advertising meetings with its members at Athens University's philosophy faculty in a post on Facebook.

Rouvikonas members throw paint at Greek Foreign Ministry

Members of the Rouvikonas anarchist group threw paint at the Greek Foreign Ministry in downtown Athens on Sunday afternoon, just over 12 hours after smashing windows at a tax office in a northern suburb.

In a web post, the group claimed the action against the Foreign Ministry was in solidarity with the Palestinian people and in opposition to Greece's warming ties with Israel.

Anarchist group throws flyers outside Austrian ambassador's house

Members of the self-styled anarchist group Rouvikonas on Sunday threw flyers outside the house of the Austrian Ambassador to Greece, Andrea Ikic-Bohm, in the northern suburb of Paleo Psychico.

In a text published on an anti-establishment website, the group said the action was a response to Austria's anti-migrant policies and measures.
