An explosion occurred on Jan. 12 in Istanbul's touristic Sultanahmet Square, killing 10 while wounding at least 15, Istanbul governor's office has said.

According to reports by private broadcaster CNN Türk, the explosion occurred by the obelisk of Theodosius in the touristic Sultanahmet Square in Istanbul's Fatih district. 

Turkey?s Prime Ministry has released a notice to limit Victory Day celebrations set on Aug. 30, stating that an inconspicuous, rather than festive, celebrating would be endorsed because of recent violent incidents that have left scores of deaths and injuries.

The Turkish Prime Minister?s Office has affixed a new logo to the gate of Çankaya Palace, the former presidential office that was transferred to the prime minister after President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an built a gargantuan new palace for himself.

The presidential emblem at the entrance of the old Çankaya Palace in Ankara has been removed, as the transfer of all service units to the new presidential palace has now been completed.
