Police are seeking a 28-year-old Pakistani national in connection with an attack by anarchists on a riot police unit outside the 1930s refugee housing blocks on Alexandras Avenue in Athens last October, Kathimerini has learned.

Police on Saturday detained a 42-year-old official of Golden Dawn in connection with a violent attack on Friday on a 24-year-old student in the Athens neighborhood of Ambelokipi by a group of assailants believed to be linked to the neo-Nazi party.

The meeting started at mid-day and it was Mitsotakis’ initiative. It is planned to meet with all the leaders of the opposition except the leader of the Golden Dawn, Mr. Michaloliakos.
Golden Dawn offices attacked in Hania
Members of anti-establishment groups attacked the offices of the far-right Golden Dawn party in Hania on Crete on Saturday and also clashed with riot police.
An undisclosed number of people were detained after the attack, which caused damage to the entrance of the building.

Court clears Patra mayor, who denied GD a platform
A misdemeanors court in Patra on Thursday cleared the local mayor, Costas Peletidis, of charges of dereliction of duty that were lodged against him by Michalis Arvanitis, a former candidate for neo-Nazi Golden Dawn, in 2015 after Peletidis denied Arvanitis the right to use a municipal venue to stage a pre-election campaign.

A court in Patra on Thursday started hearing a lawsuit filed by a candidate for the ultranationalist Golden Dawn party in 2015 against the western port city's mayor.

Seven police officers were hospitalized with minor injuries on Tuesday following clashes with a group of anti-fascist demonstrators protesting the presence of far-right Golden Dawn officials at a memorial to the victims of the 1913 Battle of Bizani, in Ioannina, northwestern Greece.
