Turkish woman fencer wins silver in Junior World Cup
Turkish woman fencer Nisanur Erbil won a silver medal in the FIE Junior Segovia World Cup 2020 on Jan. 18.
France's Anne Poupinet beat Erbil 15-12 in the final to win the gold medal in the tournament in Spain.
Erbil had defeated the U.S.' Chloe Fox-Gitomer 15-14 to compete in the final.

Melescanu on armed attack in Erbil: We have no element according to which Romanians were affected
Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu said on Wednesday that there are no indications that Romanian citizens were affected by the attack in Erbil, Iraq, in which three people died, including the Turkish vice-consul. Melescanu's statement on Antena 3 private television broadcaster comes in the context in which the Consular Office of Romania at Erbil is in the same building as the Turkish Consulate.
