Tatarlı burial chamber to be displayed at new museum
The painted friezes of a 2,500-year-old wooden burial chamber that was found 48 years ago during illegal excavations in Afyonkarahisar will soon go on display following the construction of a new museum in the inner Aegean province.
Burial chamber discovered in Turkey's Kastamonu
A burial chamber has been unearthed in the Kayı village of the Daday district in the northern Turkish province of Kastamonu.
The burial chamber is believed to have been built for a noble person named Paphlagonia who lived in the region up to 2,000 years ago.

Coal firm aims to halt excavations at Neolithic tumulus in western Turkey
A power plant company that holds the right to extract coal from a mine located under Turkey's Neolithic Seyitömer tumulus wants to halt excavations on the site for the sake of coal.
The Seyitömer tumulus, located in the western province of Kütahya, could be sacrificed for coal from a mine lying underneath the tumulus.
