Operation Armageddon: Serbian police launch raids targeting pedophiles
A large-scale police action targeting pedophiles, dubbed Operation Armageddon, is in progress across the country, Belgrade media are reporting on Tuesday.
The operation was launched on Monday, and according to media reports, at least three suspects have been arrested so far.

Emergency situation in several regions due to flooding
An emergency situation has been declared in Cacak, Topola, Bajina Basta, Pozega, Novi Pazar, Arilje and Lucani, due to heavy rain and flooding.
In Bajina Basta, western Serbia, landslides have been activated, with several homes submerged in water, and roads damaged.
Man kills his grandmother in front of passers-by
A 26-year-old man has been arrested in Bajina Basta, western Serbia, on suspicion that he murdered his 71-year-old grandmother.
The suspect, B.N., was seen by passers-by using a knife to attack the woman, identified as Milka Sabo, stabbing her several times in the chest and in the stomach.

Off duty police officer found dead in his car
A 45-year-old police officer, named as M.M., has been found dead in his vehicle on a road near Bajina Basta in western Serbia.
Daily Blic writes that the body was found on Thursday morning, without any "visible injuries."

BELGRADE -- Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Army General Ljubisa Dikovic has rejected all accusations by the Humanitarian Law Center (FHP) NGO.
In a statement for the Belgrade-based broadcaster TV Pink late on Monday, he stressed that he did not take part in war crimes either as a soldier or as a commander.

BELGRADE - Contracts were signed in Belgrade on Tuesday for construction of 14 flash flood defense units and clearance of river beds in western Serbia, in which USD 1.5 million will be invested.
