Tim Farčnik elected to biathlon federation executive board

Salzburg – Slovenia’s Tim Farčnik has been appointed to the executive board of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) at their 15th Ordinary Congress in Salzburg, Austria, the Slovenian Ski Association (SZS) said.

Farčnik will join five other members of the executive board in the 2022-2026 period.

Bulgaria's Iliev Wins Gold in Biathlon European Championship 2017

Vladimir Iliev won the gold in the Biathlon European Championship in Poland.

The 29-year old competitor from Troyan triumphed in the 10-km sprint, while Krasimir Anev completed the excellent performance of Bulgarians in Duszniki Zdroj with a bronze medal.

For Anev, this is the second medal in the championship after winning the silver in the 20 km individual competition.

Bulgaria's Vladimir Iliev Grabs Bronze at European Biathlon Championship

Bulgarian biathlete Vladimir Iliev won bronze medal at the men's 15-kilometre mass start of the European biathlon championship held in Tyumen, Russia on Sunday.

Iliev made two penalties in the shooting, one each in the second and third rounds and finished in 38:29.0 minutes.

The Bulgarian finished 8.5 seconds behind the winner from Germany Florian Graf.

Bulgaria's Krasimir Anev Grabs Silver at Biathlon European Championship

Bulgaria's biathlete Krasimir Anev won a silver medal at the Biathlon European Championship on Sunday, which is taking place in the town of Otepaa, Estonia.

Anev finished second in the men's 12.5 kilometer pursuit, winning his eighth individual prize at a continental championship in his professional career, daily Dnevnik reports.
