Another 1,000 refugees to be transferred to the mainland by Monday
Over 1,000 asylum applicants will be transferred from islands of the northeastern Aegean to the mainland in the next three days, according to sources speaking to state-run Athens-Macedonian News Agency.
The refugees will all be distributed to hotels throughout Greece, the same sources said.

Nearly 800 migrants reached the islands of the eastern Aegean in the space of 48 hours, according to official figures made public on Wednesday.
A total of 795 migrants arrived on Lesvos, Chios and Samo on Tuesday and Wednesday, as human traffickers continue to exploit the good weather to intensify their activity.
About 30 migrants found on sailboat near Psara
Greece's coast guard located on Tuesday afternoon a sailboat with about 30 refugees and migrants onboard northwest of the small island of Psara.
Two men and two women who required medical attention were boarded first on a coast guard vessel and transferred to the port of Volissos, in the nearby island of Chios.
A separate boat continued the rescue operation.

Death toll in capsized migrant boat near Oinousses rises to seven
The death toll from a dinghy carrying 19 people which capsized on Friday morning north of a cluster of islands in the northeastern Aegean has risen to seven, the state-run Athens-Macedonia News Agency reported.
Authorities reportedly said all of the passengers were Turkish citizens.
289 migrants arrived on Greek islands on Friday
The arrival of migrants continued unabated on Friday, with a total of 289 people reaching the islands of the northern Aegean from midnight to 11 a.m., based on data provided by the region's general police directorate.
Of those arrivals, 111 arrived in Lesvos, 33 in Chios and 145 in Samos,

Dozens of migrants, refugees being transferred from Symi island
Around 300 migrants and refugees who arrived from Turkey over the past few days are to be transferred off the southeastern Aegean island of Symi by the end of the week.
The decision comes in response to a number of complaints made by Symi Mayor Eleftherios Papakalodoukas, who has stressed that his island is completely unequipped to host, feed and care for asylum-seekers.
Hundreds of migrants reach Lesvos; Moria bursting at the seams
Another 408 migrants reached the island of Lesvos by Friday noon, of which 73 arrived by sailboat, the general police directorate of the Northern Aegean said in a press release.
The new arrivals raise the total number of migrants living in the overcrowded identification center of Moria to 12,000, when the camp's capacity is for 3,000.
Migrant flows to Greek islands continue unabated
Migrant flows from Turkey to the islands of the eastern Aegean continued unabated this week, with 694 people arriving on the shores of Lesvos, Samos and Chios between early Monday morning and Tuesday afternoon.

Over 3,400 migrants reached Greece in September
A total of 3,469 migrants arrived at Greece's northern Aegean islands from the start of September till Friday morning, according to figures published by the region's general police directorate.
Breaking down the numbers, 2,078 foreign nationals arrived on Lesvos, 589 on Chios and 802 on Samos since September 1.
