Τhe foreign universities bring new agreements and prospects to the commercial real estate market

Investments in the Greek commercial real estate market (offices, shops, hotels and logistics) reached a new record high in 2023, as, according to estimates by the Proprius company, they exceeded 2 billion euros, marking an increase of 22% compared to 2022.

The commercial property market is bracing for recessionary phenomena in the coming months that will be reminiscent of the 2012-13 slump, as chains and stores are struggling to stay afloat.

Investment in the domestic professional property market is expected to reach close to half a billion euros this year, which - if confirmed - would signal a rise of more than 80 percent from last year, when the figure remained under 250 million euros.

Investment in commercial property in Bulgaria have increased by 60% on the year to EUR 98.7 M in the first nine months, according to data from real estate advisers Forton.

Investor.bg quoted Michaela Lashova, managing partner at Forton, as saying that capital inflow has been increasing during the period under review, pointing to accelerated market recovery.
