President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was actually very "cool" on the first evening of his recent trip to the U.S. He had a meeting right across from Hotel Peninsula, where he was staying, at the St. Regis Hotel. He walked there slowly, in a relaxed way, speaking to everybody and posing for photos. 

More Than 2800 Arrested, 2700 Judges Dismissed after Turkey Coup Attempt

Some 2839 Turkish Armed Forces officers have been arrested as of Saturday evening, less than 24 hours after an attempted coup d'etat in Turkey was thwarted, officials say.

The arrested military include two generals, but no names are given.

Another 2745 Turkish judges have been dismissed in the wake of the coup attempt, according to Anadolu Agency.
