DT invests in local app maker

Discussions between Deutsche Telekom and Greek technology company Desquared lasted more than a year, but now 20% of the latter has come under the control of the German telecommunications group. Vodafone TV secures exclusive rights to HBO content

Vodafone Greece announced on Monday it has scooped the exclusive rights to the premium TV content of US giant HBO for its VTV cable TV subscription service.

This 'defection' of HBO's content from Nova's service is the second major blow for the troubled satellite platform after it lost the rights to soccer's Champions League to Cosmote TV.

Cosmote named fastest mobile network in Greece

Cosmote has been named the fastest network for mobile internet in Greece again this year, taking the title for "Greece's Fastest Mobile Network 2018" in the SpeedTest Awards presented by Ookla, a global leader in internet testing and analysis.

The Cosmote mobile network's download speed is 68 percent faster than the second-placed provider.

NBA deal extension for Cosmote TV

Leading pay-TV platform Cosmote TV on Tuesday announced it has signed a two-year partnership extension with the world's biggest basketball league, the NBA.

With an enhanced agreement, Cosmote TV will air a greater number of NBA matches on Cosmote Sport channels, while all games will also be available on demand through the Cosmote TV GO and Cosmote Replay TV services.
