The Euro has Weakened against the Dollar, Bitcoin at its Lowest Level in Six Months

The US dollar strengthened slightly against major currencies today as the Euro fell in Asian trade as stock markets were nervous of tensions in Ukraine and a possible more aggressive rise in the Federal Reserve's (Fed) reference rate this week.

Survey shows pandemic makes cashless payment more popular in Central Europe

Ljubljana – Consumers in five Central European countries, including Slovenia, have been using cashless forms of payment more often since the start of the Covid pandemic. Electronic payment is the most popular in Slovenia, where the majority of the surveyed residents would oblige retailers to offer at least one form of cashless payment.

Turkey Bans Cryptocurrency Use for Payments

The Turkish central bank (also known as CBRT or TCMB) has issued "Regulation on the Disuse of Crypto Assets in Payments." It was published Friday in the official newspaper of the Turkish government.

The central bank also announced Friday that "studies on the regulation regarding the disuse of crypto assets in payments have been completed."
