A prosecutor has brought multiple criminal charges against a young man who attacked and injured a student and the principal of a downtown Athens school on Tuesday.
Foreign Ministry to open help desk in Rhodes airport
Foreign Ministry staff is en route to Rhodes to open a help desk at the island's airport on Sunday after 5 p.m. The help desk, in coordination with embassies in Greece, will facilitate the travel of visitors to the island who left without their passports and travel documents.
Woman, 66, arrested for drug trafficking and forgery in Athens
Police in Athens have arrested a 66-year-old Albanian woman on charges of drug trafficking and forgery.
According to authorities, after an investigation on Tuesday into the suspect's involvement in cannabis trafficking in the Kato Patissia neighborhood, particularly near schools, her criminal activities were confirmed.

Cyprus so far strips 222 people of ‘golden passports’
The government of Cyprus has stripped 222 wealthy investors and their family members of citizenship, an official said Wednesday, part of efforts to mend a reputation sullied by an investment-for-passports program that an inquiry found had unlawfully granted citizenships in hundreds of instances.
Registry offices not to demand fee hike: Minister
Those whose passport appointments were delayed until the new year due to the intensity despite paying the fee last December will be exempt from the hikes made on Jan. 1, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has announced.
The move came after many citizens filed complaints via the Presidential Communications Center (CİMER).

Türkiye starts printing biometric passports
Türkiye has started printing its own biometric passports as of Aug. 29, the country's interior minister said at a press conference held at the site where the first "fully Turkish" passport was printed.
Süleyman Soylu gathered with journalists late on Aug. 29 at the General Directorate of Civil Registration and Nationality, an affiliate of his ministry, in the capital Ankara.
