A Brit on 'Brexit'
In "The Colossus of Maroussi," Henry Miller's book about Greece, he described Lawrence Durrell as "English despite himself, [and] in a quandary." Like Durrell, I have lived most of my life outside England and I too am in a quandary: I am pro-European in many respects, yet, having been born and educated in London I retain a strong sense of what it means to be English. Not British - English.

TV series 'The Durrells' takes British viewers to 1930s Corfu
Greek locations used as sets for international movies have always witnessed a subsequent increase in foreign visitors - just think "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" (Cephalonia) or "Mamma Mia!" (Skiathos, Skopelos) - serving as a great boost for the tourism industry at those destinations.
British drama to be filmed on Corfu
Thousands of British will have the opportunity to watch and admire the beautiful landscape of the Greek island of Corfu on TV.
A new six part period drama will be filmed on Corfu island by ITV. The series is called “The Durrells” and is based on The Corfu Trilogy by Gerald Durrell who lived on the island from 1935-1939.

A new six part period drama will be filmed on Corfu island by ITV. The series is called “The Durrells” and is based on The Corfu Trilogy by Gerald Durrell who lived on the island from 1935-1939.
Two Greek actors will participate, Alexis Georgoulis and Yorgos Karamichos.
