Hollande: No survivors likely in Airbus crash in French Alps

French President Francois Hollande said that he believed none of the 148 people on board the Germanwings' airbus that crashed on Tuesday in the French Alps has survived.

Noting that the crash happened in a zone that is particularly hard to access, the French President characterized the accident as a "tragedy in our soil"

Prime Minister Manuel Valls, who is now traveling to the site of the crash, has also announced that all 148 people on board have most likely died during the incident

German, Spanish, and probably Turkish passengers were on the plane operated by Lufthansa's Germanwings budget airline that crashed in southern France on March 24 en route from Barcelona to Düsseldorf, French President François Hollande has said.

 He said that he could not say with "total certainty" that no French nationals were aboard the Germanwings flight.
