Turkish police detain one over refugee boat disaster
Turkish police have detained one person suspected of organizing a smuggling operation that left 27 refugees dead on Feb. 8.
At least 27 foreign nationals, including 11 children, died after a boat carrying refugees sank in the Aegean Sea off Turkey's western Bal?kesir province.
At least 27 migrants killed in Aegean off Turkey
At least 27 migrants, including 11 children, were killed after a boat bound for the Greek island of Lesbos capsized off Turkey's Edremit Bay on Feb. 8, the Turkish Coast Guard has said.
The migrants had been taking a different route, as local security forces have stepped up measures to prevent more crossings from Turkey to Greece.

Dismantled plane to be turned into restaurant in western town
A dismantled plane, which has reached its flight limits, will be used as a restaurant in the town of Edremit, located in the western province of Bal?kkesir.
The plane's transformation into a restaurant began when a private aviation company bought the Airbus A340 plane from Turkish Airlines (THY). The plane was first dismantled into eight parts in Istanbul's Atatürk Airport.

The bodies of Muharrem Teköz and Beyhan Tökez were found dead at their home in the town of Edremit late on June 22.
