Hundreds of farmers with 300 tractors are expected to meet Thursday in central Thessaloniki, near the iconic White Tower, to line up at the entrance to the Agrotica exhibition, to press demands for greater support of the farming sector.
Man in Thessaloniki arrested for sexually harassing girl
A 45-year-old man was arrested in Thessaloniki on Saturday for sexually harassing a 12-year-old girl.
The suspect approached the girl at the beach of Epanomi and caressed her genitals, state-run news agency AMNA reported.
It was not clear who alerted the police.
Youths detained in Thessaloniki after beach punch-up
A group of seven youths ended up in custody on Tuesday after a fight with another group on a beach at Epanomi in Thessaloniki, northern Greece.
According to reports, the fracas occurred on Monday afternoon after a group of young men, aged 19 and 20, quarreled on the beach with two young women who alerted their relatives and friends.
Body of former head of Thessaloniki notaries found off the coast
The body of a woman found off the coast of Palioura Epanomi, near Thessaloniki, on Tuesday is believed to be that of Ioanna Bilisi-Chrousala, the former president of Thessaloniki's association of notaries.
According to investigators, there was no sign of foul play in the death of the 71-year-old and a note was found on the beach, pointing towards a suicide.

Search and rescue operation continues in Thermaikos for missing woman
A search and rescue operation was under way on Thursday for a 53-year-old woman who went missing in the Thermaikos Gulf after she reportedly abandoned her car in a flash flood in the area between Mihaniona and Epanomi in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, late Tuesday.
