ATHEX: Imported pressure on stocks

The US inflation data shook European markets, including Greece's, which suffered losses in its indexes and the majority of stocks on Tuesday. This was the third straight session of losses for the benchmark, after it hit a 13-year high last week. Turnover was boosted by the inclusion of Athens International Airport in the FTSE indexes.

ATHEX: Stock market drops a gear on Monday

A rather subdued session at the Greek stock market on Monday saw most stocks yield ground for a second day in a row on the lowest daily trading of the last 11 sessions. Early gains gave way to some profit-taking by traders who believe the market has been overbought over the last few weeks, when the benchmark had climbed to its highest point since 2011.

The benchmark of the Greek stock market came off Thursday's 13-year-high to record moderate losses on Friday at the end of another week of price growth, the third in succession. PPC signs agreement for Phoibi project

Public Power Corporation SA on Thursday announced the completion of the signing of the syndicated financing of Phoibi Energiaki Sole Shareholder SA, a subsidiary of PPC Renewables, within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Greece 2.0, with Eurobank acting as coordinator and Eurobank and Piraeus Bank as co-organizer.

ATHEX: Index hits highest level since 2011

The performance of the Greek stock market has got everyone reaching for their record books, as the benchmark at Athinon Avenue climbed to its highest point since May 2011 on Thursday. Banks were again the driver of growth, while some blue chips that have recently recorded major gains experienced some profit-taking at the start of the new month.
