Croats Remain Traumatised by Quake Damage to Capital

While the soil continues to shake occasionally, and earthquakes of lesser intensity are still being felt, many Croats still suffer from high anxiety as a result of events on March 22, when a quake of at least 5.3 magnitude struck close to the capital, damaging buildings and injuring dozens of people and causing one death.

Powerful Earthquake Rocks Croatian Capital Zagreb

A powerful earthquake hit Croatia at 6.24am local time on Sunday morning with the epicentre seven kilometres north of Zagreb, said the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre, EMSC.

Another strong earthquake shook Zagreb at 7am, with both tremors causing widespread damage and panic amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis.

Another Earthquake in Turkey

A magnitude 4.7 earthquake has occurred in western Turkey, according to the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The earthquakes were recorded at 2.43 local time and the epicenter was located 89 kilometers northeast of the large city of Izmir and 56 kilometers northeast of Manisa. The quake occurred at a depth of seven kilometers below the surface.

Three tremors shake Crete

Three moderate earthquakes rattled residents of eastern Crete and the nearby islands of Kasos and Karpathos in the southern Aegean early on Friday.

All three quakes struck some 30 kilometers off the coast of Zakros on Crete's eastern tip.

The first, with a magnitude of 3.9 Richter, struck at 4.16 a.m., according to the National Observatory's Geodynamic Institute.

The epicenter was 29 kilometers northeast of Zagreb and 6 kilometers northeast of Marija Bistrica, "Jutarnji list" reports.
The earthquake occurred at 8:53 hours local time, at a depth of 10 kilometers, according to EMSC data.
'It lasted for a short while, but it felt rather strong', wrote one of the readers at EMSC.

Strong Еarthquake near Rhodes Island, it Was also Felt in Turkey

A 5.1 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale has been recorded in the Dodecanese Aegean region, according to the official website of the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC).

The epicenter of the quake was 35 km southeast of the Greek island of Rhodes and 106 km south of the southwestern Turkish province of Muğla, at a 10km depth.

A 5.6-Magnitude Earthquake Registered Off the Coast of the Philippines

A 5.6-magnitude earthquake was registered off the coast of the Philippines, BTA reported, citing the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre. There are no reports of casualties and destruction so far.

The epicentre was 365 kilometres west of Davao City with a population of 1.2 million people. The depth of the quake was 40 kilometres.
