A Study: Millions Die due to Antibiotic Resistance
More than 1.2 million people died globally in 2019 from infections caused by antibiotic-resistant bacteria, according to the largest study to date on the issue, quoted by the BBC.
The number is higher than the annual mortality from malaria or AIDS.

Ten hospitals in different parts of the country are set to get the green light to kick off what aspires to become a nationwide program for combating hospital-acquired infections (HAI).

They said they were very concerned and that their study was the first in the world to confirm co-infection with two strains of coronavirus.
The discovery was published on the medical site "medRxiv.org", and the study has yet to go through the review process and be published in a scientific journal, Reuters reports.

Slovenian researchers pave the way for more potent treatment of superbugs
Ljubljana – An international team of researchers headed by Marko Anderluh of the Ljubljana Faculty of Pharmacy and Nikola Minovski of the Chemistry Institute has synthesized molecules that could result in new treatments for super resistant bacteria.
The expert group demonstrated the mechanism of action of these new molecules for the first time, the Faculty of Pharmacy said.
