National Statistical Institute: Industrial Production Index up 3.7% in February Compared to Previous Month
According to preliminary data, in February 2017 the industrial production index of Bulgaria went up 3.7% compared to January 2017. In February 2017, an increase by 5.0% was reported compared to the same month in 2016. This is what data of the National Statistical Institute shows, quoted by Focus News.
Qatar to boost output from world's biggest gas field
Energy giant Qatar Petroleum is to launch a new project in the world's biggest gas field, boosting its output by up to 10 percent, it said on April 3.
The state-owned firm's chief Saad Al-Kaabi said it was ending a 12-year moratorium on new projects in the North Field, off the Gulf state's northern coast.
NSI: Production of Fuels, Natural Gas, and Electricity Decreases in January 2017
In January 2017 compared to December 2016, there was a decrease reported in the production of solid fuels - by 5.0% to 3,328 thousand T; of unleaded gasoline - by 8.3% to 165 thousand T; diesel fuel - by 6.9% to 256 thousand T; natural gas - by 20.0% to 12 million m3; electricity - by 10.8% to 4,056 GWh.
KEVR: Bulgargaz' Demand for 32% Hike in Gas Prices Is Unjustifiably High
The chairman of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (KEVR) Ivan Ivanov reckons that the demand of Bulgargaz for a 32% hike in the price of natural gas as of April 1 is unjustifiably high.

Bulgargaz Demands 32.44% Increase in Gas Prices
Bulgaria's state-owned gas supplier has announced the prices of natural gas will have to go up by nearly a third as of April this year.
In a statement, the company has cited higher supply costs as of the next quarter.

US LNG exports shift to Europe from Asia
US liquefied natural gas (LNG) exporters have shifted their focus to Southern Europe from Asia as cold weather and problems with Algerian gas supply have driven Europe's gas prices higher.
Gas prices in Europe are at their highest premiums to US gas prices for three years.
Several cargoes have already made their way to Europe, and analysts expect more to come.
