A desperate final email from Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz has revealed his fear of going blind, before slamming the A320 jet into the French Alps on March 24th last year, killing all 149 people on board.

An email sent by Lubitz to his doctor two weeks before the crash has been published by German newspaper “Bild”.

Lufthansa Strike to Affect Most Flights Between Sofia, German Airports

Eight flights between the Bulgarian capital and the airports in Frankfurt and Munich will be cancelled on Monday as the strike of flight attendants of Lufthansa continues.

The strike will not affect two of the scheduled flights between Sofia and Munich, the airport of the Bulgarian capital informed, daily Dnevnik reports.

All Flights Between Sofia, Frankfurt Cancelled as Lufthansa Strike Continues

All flights between the Bulgarian capital and Frankfurt operated by Lufthansa are cancelled on Saturday as the strike of the flights attendants of the German airline continues.

The latest strike, which began on Friday, cancelled 290 flights and affected 37 000 passengers, including people travelling between Sofia and Frankfurt.

Germanwings Plane Performs Emergency Landing in Sofia

A Germanwings plane bound for Turkey landed at Sofia Airport on Sunday after suspicions it had been struck by a "bird", the BGNES wire service reports.

A thorough inspection that followed did not establish any damage done to the engines.

The aircraft took off at 11:20, just below an hour after landing.
