Turkey’s home appliance sales soared in first quarter
Turkey's home appliance sales and exports soared in the first quarter of this year, according to a sectoral group head.
"In January-March, our sales and exports increased 40 percent and 26 percent, respectively, compared to the same period last year," said Can Dinçer, head of the White Goods Manufacturers' Association of Turkey (TÜRKBESD) on April 20.

Arçelik, a leading white goods producer in Turkey, on Feb. 13 filed a case for patent infringement against South Korean appliances manufacturer LG Electronics and its subsidiaries in France and Germany.

Turkey's Arçelik working on deals to expand international presence
Turkish home appliances maker Arçelik is working on acquisitions to speed up its international expansion, particularly in Asia, its chief executive said on March 20.
Grundig's transformation after Arçelik bought it
Grundig is one of the most rooted brands of Germany. It was founded in 1945 and their wooden box radios and televisions were the stars of households at that time.
Grundig was bought by the flagship company of Koç Holding, Arçelik, in 2007 and underwent major changes. No surprise they are promoting their brand now as "We are 70 years old and we just started."

Turkish company to open R&D center in Cambridge
Turkish home appliances producer Arçelik has announced it will open a research and development (R&D) center in Cambridge, United Kingdom, where the company has been market leader with its Beko brand, in a written statement on June 25.
