Light tremor recorded in Patra

An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale registered shortly before 9 p.m. in the Gulf of Patras, near Antirio, on Wednesday evening.

The quake had a focal depth of five kilometers, and it was reportedly felt across the city of Patras, northwestern Peloponnese, and also at coastal areas in Etoloakarnania.

No injuries or damages have been reported so far.

Ferries resume service as chill continues in many parts of Greece

Ferries resumed normal service across Greece on Friday after being restricted to port on Thursday due to poor weather conditions.

The only exception is the Rio-Antirio ferry service, which remained closed on Friday.

There was a slight improvement in the weather in some parts of the country but temperatures were expected to remain low in central, western and northern Greece.
