At least 8 people were killed and nearly 10 people were injured in an explosion of a minibus in the Syrian city of Homs, 24chasa reports.

Russia, Turkey and Iran have agreed to set up de-escalation zones in Syria for six months, negotiators for the three nations said in a joint statement on Sept. 15 after talks in Kazakhstan.
   
The zones will include, fully or partly, Eastern Ghouta, the provinces of Idlib, Homs, Latakia, Aleppo and Hama, according to the statement.

A journalist of Russia Today was murdered in the Syrian province of Homs during an attack by "Islamic State," the World Agencies said, quoted by Mediapool.

Russia's Kremlin-backed international broadcaster RT said a correspondent from its Arabic-language channel was killed July 30 by shelling from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Syria's Homs province.

Nearly half a million Syrians have returned to their homes so far this year, including 440,000 internally displaced people and more than 31,000 returning from neighbouring countries, the United Nations' refugee agency said on June 30. 

Most returned to Aleppo, Hama, Homs and Damascus, it said, on the view that security had improved in parts of the country.

The last buses carrying rebel fighters and their families left  a besieged district of Syria's Homs yesterday, completing a deal to bring the whole city back under government control for the first time since the start of the war.

Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Muallem said on May 8 his country would reject any United Nations role in monitoring the implementation of four "de-escalation" zones.

"We do not accept a role for the United Nations or international forces to monitor the agreement," Muallem told reporters in Damascus.

Dara Dandashi, a 25-year-old interior designer from Homs in Syria, travels to Gaziantep from Istanbul once a month to work on a project to design a cozy and unique corner in each household that can provide an "escape" from the day.

On Thursday, the United States launched an attack on Al Shayrat airfield in Syria. President Trump said the airbase was targeted for its role in a chemical weapons attack on the town of Khan Sheikhoun that killed more than 80 civilians two days earlier.
