First ship carrying food departs Turkey for Qatar
A ship carrying 4,000 tons of food for beleaguered Qatar left Turkey early on June 22, marking a change in how essential supplies are being sent to the tiny Gulf state.
The vessel, carrying dry food, fruits and vegetables, departed from İzmir in western Turkey.

Turkey's Erdoğan talks Qatar with emir, French president
In a phone call on June 16 with Qatari and French leaders, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan urged dialogue to help resolve the Gulf crisis over Qatar, according to a presidential source.
In a trilateral conversation with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and French President Emmanuel Macron, Erdoğan brought up recent issues in the Gulf, said the source.
Qatar's ambassador received by Serbia's acting PM
Acting PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic met on Friday with Ambassador of Qatar Sheikh Mubarak bin Fahad Al-Thani, the Serbian government has announced.

Turkish FM to meet Saudi king for talks over Qatar crisis
Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will visit Mecca on June 16 and meet Saudi Arabian King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud as part of Turkey's efforts to calm down the ongoing crisis between Qatar and other Gulf countries.
