Turkey's Central Bank leaves key rates on hold, in line with expectations

The Central Bank kept its main interest rates steady on June 15, in line with market expectations. 

The Bank kept its closely watched late liquidity window at 12.25 percent and its benchmark repo rate on hold at 8 percent, saying it would stick to a tight policy stance until the inflation outlook significantly improved. 

ECB: Euro Zone Survey Data Point to Robust First Quarter

Economic recovery in the Eurozone is stable, according to the economic bulletin of the European Central Bank, quoted by BNR.

''Incoming data, notably survey results, have increased the Governing Council's confidence that the ongoing economic expansion will continue broaden'', the ECB said in its regular economic bulletin.

Greece's consumer price index flat in December

Greece's annual headline consumer price index was unchanged at zero percent in December year-on-year, with the annual pace of deflation slowing sharply from -0.9 percent in November, statistics service data showed on Wednesday.

The data also showed the European Union-harmonized inflation rate turned positive in December at 0.3 percent from -0.2 percent in November.

NBS says price, financial stability among its 2016 results

BELGRADE - By pursuing an efficient monetary policy and implementing timely measures, the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) achieved price and financial stability in 2016 amid pronounced volatility and uncertainty in the international environment, the NBS said in an end-year recap.

The results reflect the continuation of efforts and committed work over the past four years, it said.
