The Education Ministry has announced that it has fallen victim to the largest cyberattack in the country's history, with distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks being aimed at its centralized high school examination platform.

Government and judicial websites forced to go offline and trials delayed following massive cyber-attacks that started on August 22 and whose perpetrators remain unknown.

Greece's central bank became the target of a cyber attack by activist hacking group Anonymous on Tuesday which disrupted service of its web site, a Bank of Greece official said on Wednesday.
