Sofia Inspectorate Carries Out Inspections of Sources of Air Pollution

Teams of the Sofia Inspectorate are carrying out inspections of sources of air pollution with particulate matter from construction sites, auto repair shops, tyre fitting centres, waste-buying sites, furniture manufacturers, as well as outdoor waste burning, said the Sofia Municipality press office.

Four Industrial Zones to Be Built in Sofia

"We are creating four industrial zones. The large industrial zone will be located in the northern territories - Kremikovtsi, Novi Iskar, Vrabnitsa. Mezdra-Botevgrad Road is Modernized with BGN 420 million From the Toll System

The section will be with two lanes in each direction.

An intentional arson of a cable shaft on Tsvetan Lazarov Street in the Druzhba district in Sofia provoked a cable fault, the press center of CEZ Bulgaria announced. The accident triggered the power supply disruption of about 5,500 households and companies in the region of Druzhba 2, Gara Iskar quarter and 7 km. CEZ has restored the power supply on an alternative route.

Until June 13, Bulgarians Can Apply For Replacement of Old Stoves with New Heating Systems

By Thursday (June 13th) all Bulgarians using solid fuel for heating can apply for replacement of old stoves with environmentally friendly heating systems. The next Thursday is the deadline for application under the Green Sofia program, which aims to improve green areas in inter-block spaces and local gardens.
