Red Star Belgrade first to reach final of basketball ABA League

BELGRADE - Serbian basketball champions Red Star Belgrade have become the first team to qualify for the final of the regional ABA League after a 2-0 win over Serbian outfit Mega in the semi-final series.

In the second game of the series, Red Star won 94-69 at Belgrade's Ranko Zeravica Sports Hall on Tuesday evening to advance to their ninth consecutive final in the competition.

Stojkovic announces squad for Lithuania, Montenegro games

BELGRADE - The head coach of the Serbia men's national football team Dragan Stojkovic on Friday announced a 26-man squad for the upcoming EURO 2024 qualifiers against Lithuania and Montenegro.

Serbia will face Lithuania in Belgrade on March 24 and Montenegro in Podgorica on March 27.

Stojkovic announces preliminary Serbia squad list for EURO 2024 qualifiers

BELGRADE - The head coach of the Serbia men's national football team Dragan Stojkovic on Tuesday announced a preliminary squad list for the EURO 2024 qualifiers.

Serbia will play Lithuania in Belgrade on March 24 and Montenegro in Podgorica on March 27.

Red Star Belgrade Face Punishment for Anti-Muslim Banner

Euroleague Basketball, which runs the Euroleague competition, said on Tuesday that it has launched disciplinary proceedings against the Red Star Belgrade basketball club after the racist banner was raised by some fans at a match against Olympiakos of Greece last Friday in the Serbian capital.

The fans' banner carried the message: "Albanians, Croats and Muslims are not my brothers."

Red Star down Maccabi in basketball Euroleague

BELGRADE - Red Star Belgrade beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 87-84 (19-24, 20-25, 23-12, 24-23) at the Belgrade Arena in Euroleague Basketball Round 4 on Thursday.

Over 8,000 supporters celebrated Red Star's second Euroleague win this season after Taylor Rochestie scored with just 15 seconds to go and Maccabi's Deshaun Thomas missed a three-point shot.

Red Star win season's first basketball Superliga derby

BELGRADE - Red Star Belgrade beat Partizan 85-74 (23-16, 19-22, 23-18, 20-18) in the second round of the Serbian basketball Superliga late Tuesday.

In what was the first Eternal Derby of the competition, the reigning ABA League and Serbian champions overcame the arch-rivals at the Aleksandar Nikolic Hall for the third time this season.
