Air France-KLM boss Jean-Marc Janaillac announced his resignation on May 4 after staff at the carrier's French operations rejected a pay deal aimed at ending weeks of strikes.

Air France KLM shares fell on Monday as its Air France division faced further disruption to flights due to workers striking in protest over pay, reported Reuters.

Air France KLM shares were down 1.4 percent in early trading, among the worst performers on Paris' SBF-120 index.

Air France said on Tuesday it had raised its pay offer to unions in a bid to end strikes that have already cost the airline 170 million euros ($210 million), Reuters reported.

Air France customers can now get their boarding pass on Facebook Messenger. Soon they will be able to receive other useful travel information to Messenger, such as Booking Confirmation and Booking Reservation, Registration Reminder, and Real-time Flight Notifications.

The chief executive of Air France-KLM, Alexandre de Juniac, is stepping down to run the airline industry's main trade group, the International Air Transport Association, it was announced on April 5.

Air France-KLM is getting good traffic volume and has seen no major impact from attacks on the Brussels airport and underground system last week, its chief executive told Reuters.

Franco-Dutch airline group Air France-KLM said Jan. 11 that the November 13 terror attacks in Paris reduced its December turnover by an estimated 70 million euros ($76.42 million).

But the effect had largely tailed off over the past two weeks, it added.
