A Bulgarian man was Killed in a Explosion in a Greek Factory
51-year-old Bulgarian and 37-year-old Greek died in an explosion at a scrap plant in Skala Laconias, Peloponnese, Xinhua news agency reported.
Two die, two hospitalized at waste treatment plant
Two workers died and another two had to be hospitalized after suffering breathing problems at a biological waste treatment plant in Laconia in the Peloponnese on Tuesday.

Wildfires burning in Attica and the Peloponnese
A fire engine is seen near a blaze in Kotronas, eastern Mani, southern Greece, Monday. Firefighters worked into the night trying to contain fires in Attica as well as Achaia and Laconia in the Peloponnese, which destroyed forest and farmland. Reports said several houses were threatened by the flames.

OrangeLand: Growth through oranges
OrangeLand Sparta is an initiative based on the promotion of orange with the view to enhancing tourism in Laconia, a region in the southeastern part of the Peloponnese peninsula.
“The orange is a product-symbol of Laconia,” the founder of Orangeland Christos Papadimitrakopoulos said in an interview with the Athens Macedonian News Agency (ANA).

Stunning Laconian Mani: the southern-most tip of mainland Greece, EU

Fire aftermath-Authorities on high alert (pics)
Greek authorities are on high alert due to high winds blowing Saturday across the country. In the prefecture of Laconia in the Peloponnese, firefighters have managed to contain most of the fire front but are still operating to extinguish smaller spots around the region. 130 firefighters and 51 vehicles started their operations at the break of dawn.
